Matt Loses A 15 lb Bass At The Net! | Painful Fish Story

Matt had the 15 lber right up to the edge of the net! When she came off his swimbait flew by his head like a bullet! Worse yet, she didn't even know she was free and just kept thrashing! It was horrible!

Matt was throwing an 8" Huddleston Deluxe Swimbait in a large pond from an aluminum boat when the monster bass bit. He was using gear that wasn't strong enough and it was all he could do to battle the giant bass! Losing that fish has replayed in Matt's mind hundreds if not thousands of times and even now remains as a constant reminder to keep his gear dialed in and stay focused at all times.

Gear Matt Should Have Used...
Rod-  Loomis Heavy: http://bit.ly/2emaKYZ
Reel- Tranx 300: http://bit.ly/2kYsvRw
Line- 80 lb Sufix 832: http://bit.ly/2ae93Ji
Leader- 30 lb Maxima Ultragreen: http://bit.ly/2ae97J9

Matt's Biggest Limit | 51 lbs with a 12 lb Kicker!

Catching a 51 lb limit for 5 bass is an experience of a lifetime. Doing it with a camera crew while filming for Trev Gowdy's Monster Fish was amazing! To top it off, the day before they had a 25+ limit of smallmouth bass!

The number one question we get asked is can you see the show? It still airs from time to time but we don't have a hard copy of it. Be sure to record "Monster Fish" if you want to see it!

What Gear did we use?

Rod- Dobyns 807: http://bit.ly/2aivwYX

Line- 80 lb Braid: http://bit.ly/2aFg46b
Leader-25 lb Maxima Ultragreen: http://bit.ly/2ae97J9

Scale Used: http://bit.ly/2f7QgQ9
Net Used: http://bit.ly/2dh9xQP
Camera Used: http://bit.ly/2iwZqqU

We were so blessed to catch even one giant bass on a swimbait but to catch a huge limit, and in only 3 hours was truly amazing! Trev Gowdy also go the biggest bass of his life that day. If you ever get the chance to fish big swimbaits , give it a try, you just never know what could happen!
