Senko Fishing Challenge!

Tim and Matt go head-to-head for 20 minutes! Both are armed with a 5" senko, each rigged differently. May the best rig win!

The senko is a proven fish catcher that works all over the globe for a variety of species. There are so many different ways to rig it but two methods stand out from the crowd. The first is the wacky rig, in which a small hook is secured in the middle of the bait and allows for maximum action. The second is a larger hook Texas rigged, allowing for the bait to be fished in and around cover.

The Trick To Never Burn Out On Fishing

Ever had a friend quit fishing altogether? Ever watching a really good angler just vanish from the tournament scene? It happens every day! Ever wondered why? Maybe its the social media pressure, maybe its rude boaters, maybe its their home life, but more than likely its a combination of all the above.

If you're passionate about bass fishing and you want it to be a life-long sport there is one key that will keep you coming back from more. At least once a year you need to STOP bass fishing and do something completely different! Let's be real, bass fishing isn't very relaxing. Between the heavy line and the roaring outboards its not nearly as "back to nature" as trout or bluegill fishing.

Do yourself a favor this year and take a break. If you can find a healthy balance between aggressively pursuing BIG bass and relaxing while fishing for other species, you're going to be a life long angler.

Here is what Matt was using...

Finding Fish In A New Lake (Without Electronics)

No electronics, no outside help, just two guys with swimbaits and a lake full of quality bass.  Tim and Matt hit a new lake in search of smallmouth bass. Watch the thought process develop as they find and catch fish.

The guys only had one shot at this lake so they started and finished with swimbaits. While they didn't catch any giant bass they were able to quickly raise fish, get bites, and put fish in the boat. These techniques will work on any lake to quickly cover water and identify productive areas.
