Finesse Swimbaits For BIG Smallmouth! (Fishing With Matt's Dad)

Come along as we explore a new clear water lake in Michigan! Its full of prespawn Smallmouth and Northern Largemouth. They're feeding in schools along the edges of shallow flats and we're casting a variety of finesse swimbaits and hair jigs to catch them. If you've wondered what fishing is like in the North, its on fire!

Its been a while since we've had Matt's dad on the boat. In true form, he set the pace with a bunch of quality fish, leaving Matt and CC with a lot of ground to make up. Each member of the team settled on a different swimbait and all produced quality fish throughout the day. At the end Matt picked up a black hair jig and stuck some nice bonus fish as well. 

Smallmouth pull incredibly hard for their size. If you've never targeted them on finesse tackle, you need to give it a try! Underwater Dropshot Footage! Best Dropshot Worms For Bass Fishing!

Let's head underwater to watch how different plastic worms move, and which baits the fish attack! With hundreds of drop shot baits on the market, its almost impossible to know which baits to try first. Luckily, we've done the hard part for you and compiled a list of our favorite baits. Our selections are backed by underwater bite footage, underwater action shots, and years of traveling the country testing the baits in different lakes and environments. 

When selecting the right worm or bait for a dropshot there are some variables to consider. Which species of bass are you targeting? Is the water warm or cold? Are there a lot of small baitfish (minnows) present in the area? If you can answer these questions we can easily help you choose the right baits for your situation. Once you've chose the right baits, it comes down to color. Color selection can be incredibly intimidating but often times simple is best. If you have a green pumpkin, a purple, and a natural baitfish color, you can meet almost any situation you'll face on any lake in the country.

4 Finesse Tricks When Bass Won't Bite!

Bass fishing can be tough! You see other people catching them but every time you go to the lake its too windy, too cold, or too hot. Whatever it is, the bass just aren't biting when you're there. If you're tired of struggling to catch a bass, try these four techniques next time you're at the lake!

Underspin Tricks For Early Spring Bass Fishing! (Beginner To Advanced)

The underspin is deadly on early Spring bass! Whether your fish are up in shallow cover eating big bait fish, hanging on breaks eating tiny shad, or suspending on outside structure, the underspin can be adapted to virtually any conditions. Like any technique, there are small tricks that make a huge difference in your success and today Tim is showing his best trick for catching fish that aren't ready to fully commit to the bait. 

Underspins come in all shapes and sizes. Even with our "simple is better" approach to the technique we still find ourselves with 4 or 5 models on the boat at all times. Being able to adapt to changing conditions and different size baitfish makes a huge difference with this technique so don't be afraid to adjust your bait if the fish aren't reacting. 

When in comes to fishing cover, the Flashy Swimmer is key. When the going gets tough, you can't beat a Cool Baits.
