3 Tricks To Catch Bass In Late Summer!

Late Summer is a challenging time for most bass fisherman, but not anymore! Today we have 3 tricks that are going to help you catch more fish. We travel the country year round  and have stumbled on a few patterns along the way that help us get bit when nothing else is working. If you're ready to catch more bass, this is for you!

If you want to catch more fish right now, try these 3 tricks...

1) Begin focusing your attention on bass that are targeting smaller baitfish. You can do this by changing the size of your baits, as well as the locations you're fishing.

2) Focus on lively grass. As grass begins to die back, bass will abandon dying grass, but will stay in the lively sections. You can visually see this grass, but you can also listen for activity in grass that is topped out.

3) Go night fishing. This simple concept allows you to avoid the heat and target active fish, but it has its own list of subtle tricks. Don't miss Matt's recommendations about moon phase to increase your success rate.

6 Baits For Summer Bass Fishing! ( Adapting To The Conditions )

Jump in the boat with Tim while he's out catching Summer bass! He's fishing challenging conditions today and pulls out all the stops to catch fish. Summer days can be amazing, but it often requires adaptation. Pay attention to the baits Tim throws, and his detailed explanation behind each decision.

The day started off dark and dreary, before turning windy, and ultimately post-frontal. Tim was faced with nearly every condition you could face in Summer, all in the same day! He finesse fished with the dropshot when he had to, but immediately turned to reaction baits when the wind kicked up. He adjusted with topwater, swimbaits, and sub surface reaction baits as the conditions changed.

Where Do Bass Go When Its HOT?! ( And How To Catch Them )

Summer bass fishing can be amazing, but what about when it gets HOT?! As temperatures rise, bass actually become very predictable. They're driven by 3 main variables, and once you understand these simple concepts, you can always locate fish. Once you know where they are, catching them is easy if you understand which baits to use! Even when Summer temperatures are at their peak, you can catch a lot of fish.

Here's what you need to know; Since the spawn, the bass have separated into two distinct groups. The first group goes shallow into cover and the second heads out to main lake structures. The shallow fish are fun because you can target them with a variety of power fishing techniques. The fish on outside structures group up around current when available and hard bottom when the water is calm. These fish can be caught on a variety of lures and tend to feed in aggressive "bite windows".
