What started out as a counter-culture way to catch fish on the cheap has morphed into one of the fastest growing categories in the sport. The concept behind the ned rig is very simple. An angler rigs a very small "do nothing" worm on a mushroom head so it will stand up on the bottom and fishes it with as little movement as possible. Something about this basic method will catch fish when nothing else will. Since the inception of the technique, the market has become littered with adaptations for nearly every situation.
