How To Fish A Senko: Everything You Need To Know!

The Senko is arguably the best bass fishing lure of all time! It comes in more than 100 colors, all sorts of sizes, and can be fished so many different ways it will make your head spin. The bait is so effective that an entire category of lures called "stick baits" have been designed to imitate it. Do you really need all those options to catch fish? Of course not! If we could only have one Senko to get us through every day on every lake it would be a 5" Yamamoto Senko in Green Pumpkin Black Flake. That bait can be Texas Rigged or Wacky Rigged and will catch fish in virtually every lake in the country. Top 5 Baits For April Bass Fishing!

Bass fishing is at its peak in April! There is no better time to get on the water and catch a bunch of fish. You can typically find fish in all 3 stages of the spawn and it doesn't take a keen understanding of fish movement to predict where they'll be. Head for the shallows with this short list of baits and you're bound to catch a few fish!

Bass can still be caught on reaction baits, but you can also slow down and catch them on soft plastics. Whatever style you prefer, there will be bass to catch. When it comes to reaction baits, we put a lot of emphasis on standing out from the crowd. We're using baits with flash, vibration, and sound to get the bass' attention. When it comes to soft baits, its all about a natural presentation. We find that baits with a touch of blue in them will often out-produce the others.

Catching Big Bass Without Fancy Electronics! Lake Chickamauga SlugFest!

Do you bass fish on a budget? This one's for you! We're out on Lake Chickamauga on the Tennessee River and we're catching BIG BASS! We forgot the electronics so we're fishing completely blind! If big screens, side imaging, and live sonar is out of your reach, don't let it get you down. You can still catch a huge limit of fish on a highly pressured lake with nothing but a rod and reel in your hand!

Not only are we fishing without electronics, Tim caught all our biggest fish on a budget-friendly rod as well! Electronics and nice equipment definitely make it easier to find fish quickly but it can be done easily enough by using your knowledge. Focus your time on secondary points and edges of spawning flats where fish should be gathering this time of year and eventually cross paths with quality fish.
