Spring is on the horizon and bass are shifting toward the prespawn. During this period there is one simple trick you can take advantage of to catch more and bigger fish! Focus your attention on red (and orange) lures! From chatterbaits to crankbaits, spinnerbaits to jigs, these bold crawfish imitators should be a staple in your fishing arsenal!

The color red is the biggest trick in Spring bass fishing. If you're on a clear water lake, focus on a ghost red. If your water is recently turned muddy, focus on the bright reds and oranges. If your fish don't want to chase, add some red to your jig. Its remarkable the difference that this one little trick can make!
