Two Baits That Catch February Bass! (During Tough Conditions)

Jump in the boat with Matt for an exciting afternoon on the water! The post-frontal morning was 19 degrees, but the afternoon bite is hot! Matt has set his sights on dam fishing the TVA and the fish are ready to feed, despite the tough conditions.

Matt chose to fish a dam today because the fast current positions the fish in predictable locations. He used two main baits (an A–Rig and a paddle tail swimbait) because of their drawing power in the fast moving water. Two Lakes In One Day! Catching Bass On Crazy Lure Colors!

Chartreuse and Blue are two of the most underrated colors in fishing. They may not work every day on every lake, but they tend to get larger than average bites. What is the deal with ledge fishing? You hear all the pros talk about it, you see big bass getting caught in videos, but what are they doing in the middle of the lake?! Are there ledges in your lake? And if there are, do you know how to fish them? Today we're showing you all our top ledge fishing baits so you can catch more offshore fish this Summer. 

Traditional "ledge fishing" takes place on the TVA chain of lakes all Summer long. The "ledges" are the sides of the river channel in the middle of the lake with current running past. Now, you may not live on the TVA (Chickamauga, Guntersville, Pickwick, Kentucky Lake, etc...) but if your lake has ANY summer time current or even if it has long tapering points or offshore creek channel bends with no current, your fish will behave in similar ways and "ledge fishing" baits will work for you.
