September Bass Fishing Tricks! How To Catch Bass Around Cover And In Open Water!

Jump in the boat with Tim for a fun day of bass fishing! He's on a reservoir that has great shallow cover fishing, but also has open water Spotted Bass. Watch how he develops several patterns to target these fish, putting together a great bag in a few hours of fishing.

Tim could have spent the whole day shallow targeting bass with a Karashi and Senko, but the offshore fish were too tempting. It didn't take long for him to locate fish that were anxious to eat a topwater bait over open water. This time of year can produce amazing fishing if you know where to look for these bass. Tim focused on suspended fish off the end of main lake points.

4 Tricks That Catch Bass Right Now!

September can be great fishing when you know where to look! Jump in the boat with Matt for a fun day on the water. He's targeting bass during the early Fall transition and showing you exactly what it takes to consistently catch fish this time of year.

The morning starts off slow, as Matt catches a few fish around structure, adjacent to grass flats. As the sun gets higher, he dials in a pattern targeting open water bass around baitfish. He stays with those fish, catching them on multiple baits, before they finally shut down and settle along deep water structure. Not done yet, Matt adapts to the conditions, and begins catching those same fish in deeper water, with an urchin. The Fall transition can be complicated, but it can also be very rewarding.

How To Find BIG Bass In A New Lake! ( Summer Edition )

We're exploring a new lake during the hottest part of the year, jump in the boat as we figure it out! Matt uses a combination of new fishing (Urchins and Minnows), traditional fishing (Jigs And Worms), and BFS Fishing (Karashi, and Micro Glide Baits) to dial in a new lake. Let's go fishing!

Going in to the day Matt's plan was to split his time between shallow and deep. As it turns out, that plan was spot on. He caught fish from the surface out to 40+ feet of water. While the largest bass of the day came from 25' of water on the edge of a grass line, the majority of his bites were in less than 10' of water around cover, including a bunch of topwater bites.
