Underspin vs Swimbait : The Truth About Fall Bass Fishing!

Should you fish your paddle tail on an underspin, or a bare swimbait head? Jump in the boat with Tim and his son JD for a fun day on the water as they answer this question. A thunderstorm is rolling in, the clouds are building, and the bass are on the move! Watch how Tim adapts to the changing conditions, mixing 3 key baits to keep fish biting.

When bass are chasing baitfish in the Fall, adding a blade to your swimbait is one of the best ways to catch fish. The added flash and vibration of an underspin catches the bass' attention and can lure them away from the real baitfish they're pursuing. However, if that same fish isn't around bait, you're often better off without the blade, relying on the natural appearance of the swimbait and jighead to draw a strike.
