How to Tie Snell Knots

There’s a myriad of knots out there to choose from, but for straight shank hooks the snell knot is tough to beat. Snell knots can be tied in everything from braid to fluorocarbon and and can be used in a wide variety of applications. One big benefit to using a snell knot with straight shank hooks is that when you set the hook, the hook point is driven upwards into the fish’s mouth.
