Flutter Spoons: Everything You Need To Know

Flutter spoons are AWESOME Summer and Fall baits for targeting bass that are feeding on baitfish. The technique remains a mystery for most anglers but Tim has refined his methods for both rigging and fishing this unique style of spoon. In this video he breaks down all the details to help you become successful with a Flutter Spoon.

Whether you want to throw a small 4" spoon, the standard 6" or the giant Magnum spoons, these tips will help you be more successful. Tim breaks down several different retrieves as well as the rigging you'll need to hook more of your bites.

Below is a breakdown of Tim's favorite spoons. The main difference between brands of spoon is thickness and weight. You'll want to try several of them to experiment with fall rates and figure out if the fish you're targeting prefer a faster or slower fall.

Crankbait Tricks For Early Fall Bass

The Fall transition is Crankbait season! Get prepared so you're not left behind this year. The change from Summer to Fall patterns happens like the flip of a switch and the bass start feeding heavily on baitfish. Whether going shallow or deep there is a crankbait that will help you get more bites.

We break these Fall transition fish into two categories. Some push baitfish shallow and will be targeted with Squarebills. Others follow the bait out deep and will be targeted with deep diving crankbaits. Both groups are easily catchable if you know what to look for and which baits to use.

Tim's Shallow Arsenal is broken down by very specific depth ranges. When targeting bass in the shallows there isn't a single square bill that does it all, at least not if you want to maximize your time on the water. Here are Tim's preferred baits.

Matt's Deep baits are broken down by diving depth as well but not nearly to the extent as the shallow baits. Matt typically has 1-2 baits that overlap per depth range.

Matt Buys A New Boat!

Watch LIVE as Matt buys a bass boat. After 2 months of searching Matt found the EXACT Champion 210 bass boat he was looking for but it was half way across the country. This is what its like to make a major purchase across state lines.

Our good friend Coop drove over from Arkansas and put the boat through the ringer. He inspected it, did the test drive, talked extensively with the seller, before handing over payment on Matt's behalf. Buying across state lines isn't complicated but you have to know the right steps to keep yourself as protected as possible.

Its a 2008 Champion 210 Elite in phenomenal shape, and completely stock. Below is a list of upgrades Matt intends to make to the boat. We'll do some very extensive videos in the near future showing Matt inspecting the boat for himself, as well as upgrading the components in the boat to make it reliable and travel ready.

Matt will be upgrading to the following...

Hot Foot Throttle: http://bit.ly/2ob4kgO
Ultrex 112 Trolling Motor: http://bit.ly/2vFQypW
Solix 15 Electronics front and back: http://bit.ly/2pAkXr2
Talon 15' Shallow Water Anchors: http://bit.ly/2F0QBSP
Hydrowave Feeding Stimulator: http://bit.ly/2BCrdVx

This is just the beginning of the upgrades. When working with an older hull, you're able to pour more of the budget into dialing in the boat exactly how you'd like it. This is one of the benefits to be weighed while deciding between purchasing a new or used boat. We'll also be making upgrades to the trailer, wiring, charging system, and more so be sure to follow along.
