Don't Make These 3 Late Summer Fishing Mistakes!

These three mistakes will wreck your fishing as we head into the Fall transition! If you want to catch more fish as Summer comes to an end, you need to avoid these mistakes at all costs. If you don't want to struggle this Fall, we can show you what to watch out for, and how to turn this into one of your favorite times of year!

Late Summer can be a difficult time to fish. Most anglers react by slowing down and fishing places where they've been successful in the past. While that seems wise on the surface, it's the first major mistake.

THE 3 MISTAKES

1) Continuing Summer Patterns: This is the worst decision you can make as your patterns begin to slow down. Focus your time on new patterns, in new places, as you search for active fish.

2) Fishing Slowly On Familiar Spots: Its Time To Speed Up and focus your attention on fast moving baits. If a spot isn't producing, move to the next. Keep your eyes peeled for clues that will lead you to an active pattern.

3) Fishing Confidence Baits: Its Time To Fish The Extremes. Focus your attention on smaller profiles, imitating juvenile baitfish to get more bites. Conversely, focus on larger profiles (swimbaits and glide baits) to target bigger bass that are looking for large meal.

How To Find And Catch Fish In Any Lake! (3 Key Patterns To Catch Bass)

Come along with the Tactical Guys for a day on the water! They're exploring a new lake and it doesn't take long to start catching BIG fish! From swimbaits, to jigs, to finesse baits, the guys have a blast, despite the freezing cold temperatures! If finding fish on a new lake is intimidating to you, this video will help.

The key to fishing new water is learning to identify patterns quickly. Matt and Tim quickly find 3 different ways to catch fish in this lake. Once they have options they quickly isolated the pattern that was catching the biggest fish, and dialed it in further with multiple baits. Fishing new water isn't hard, it just takes a different mentality. Keep in mind, these guys didn't go finesse fishing because they didn't know the lake, they picked up their power fishing rods and figured out how to catch big bass.
