Jerkbait Tips For Early Fall! (Tricks To Get More Bites)

It's jerkbait time! The early Fall transition has begun! Bass are focusing on baitfish again and jerkbaits trigger a reaction strike in those hungry bass. If you've ever wanted to experience a wide open jerkbait bite like you've heard other anglers talk about, it's time to go give it a try!

When it comes to jerkbaits, no two baits are alike. Different baits have different applications and learning to use each bait at its best time will help you catch more fish. Tim is fishing a new lake and the water is crystal clear! Come along for a fun day on the water as Tim uses some finesse tricks to coax these Leary late season bass into biting! From specifics on his finesse tackle, to how to extend cast range, lead fish, and more... Tim is giving up all the tips!

Today was all about finesse! Tim's primary baits were a tube and a finesse swimbait. Color was key on the tube but didn't seem important at all on the swimbait. The most important factor was reaching the fish before they detected the boat. Long casts, light line, and keeping the boat quiet were all critical factors.

How To Fish The Free Rig! ( Fall Bass Fishing )

Have you tried the "Free Rig" yet? If you haven't tried the Free Rig, this is the right time of year to experiment with it. Think of it as a finesse version of a Texas Rig or Carolina Rig. Its a fish catcher and it's here to stay!

The Free Rig isn't new, but is continuing to gain popularity, especially as grass begins dying back in the Fall. This rig shines around hard cover and will produce long after bass have become leery of traditional presentations. The benefit of this rig is it allows your bait to fall very slowly, while still keeping great contact with the bottom.
