When bass are chasing baitfish in the Fall, adding a blade to your swimbait is one of the best ways to catch fish. The added flash and vibration of an underspin catches the bass' attention and can lure them away from the real baitfish they're pursuing. However, if that same fish isn't around bait, you're often better off without the blade, relying on the natural appearance of the swimbait and jighead to draw a strike.
